Introduction to MetaTrader4(hereinafter referred to as “MT4”) Interface

Learn the basic screen layout of MT4 to facilitate smooth trading.

Basic Usage

Trading is mainly conducted using four types of windows: “Market Watch,” “Navigator,” “Chart,” and “Terminal.”

MT4 Screen Description

1. Menu Bar
All operations within MT4 can be accessed from this menu.

2. Toolbar
Displays icons for major functions extracted from the menu.

3. Market Watch Window
Displays information on trading currency pairs. The spread on IS6FX is constantly changing.

4. Navigator Window
Used when utilizing chart analysis tools or Expert Advisors.

5. Data Window
Allows you to check information on the selected chart.
※Note: Hidden by default.

6. Chart Window
Displays the price movements of each currency pair in a chart format.
The chart can be customized according to the trader’s trading methods.

7. Terminal Window
Displays information such as
Trading, “Account History,” “Alerts,” “Mailbox,” and “Journal.”

8. Strategy Tester
Allows you to test Expert Advisors before engaging in automated trading.
※: Hidden by default.

Additionally, each window can be freely shown or hidden.
To configure the settings, open the “View” tab in the Menu Bar, check the windows you want to display, and uncheck those you want to hide.
